About Peanut Butter Baby Designs

Hi, I’m Jackie

I’m the maker behind Peanut Butter Baby Designs, a small Southern Minnesota business built around creativity, family, and meaningful work.

PBBD started in 2014 with custom embroidered apparel — especially birthday shirts — and has grown right along with my family and my creativity. Today, I focus on three things I truly love: School Spirit, Signature Gifts, and Longarm Quilting.

What I love most about PBBD is seeing someone’s reaction, helping celebrate life’s meaningful moments, and continuing to learn and refine my craft with every project I take on.

PBBD is a small business built around real life, family, and meaningful work. I also work full-time, so I’m intentional about keeping my workload manageable. While my kids are still at home, I want to be present for my family while still giving each customer the attention they deserve. As life changes, I’m excited for PBBD to grow right along with it.

Where the Name Came From

Peanut Butter Baby Designs started when my son Conner was little. “Peanut” was one of his nicknames, and the name has grown right along with the business.

What You Can Expect From Me

I believe honesty is part of good craftsmanship.

I’ll always be upfront about timelines, what I can confidently take on, and whether a project is the right fit for me. If I’m not the best person for the job, I’d rather point you toward someone who is than promise something I can’t confidently deliver.

I want the process to feel comfortable and collaborative. I’ll keep you informed if anything changes, answer questions along the way, and do my best to create something you’ll be proud to wear, gift, use, or keep for years.

School Spirit

I love creating school and sports apparel that feels fun, fresh, and easy to wear beyond game day.

I want families to be able to proudly support their kids, schools, and teams in pieces that feel a little more thoughtful than traditional spirit wear — something you can wear to the event, around town, or simply because you love it.

Longarm Quilting

Longarm quilting is especially meaningful to me because of my mom, Lynnell.

She was an incredible woman who loved giving handmade gifts and sharing what she knew with others. She taught me — and so many people around her — more than just how to make things. She passed along patience, creativity, generosity, and the belief that something made by hand carries a little extra meaning.

My longarm, Birdie, is named in her honor — a nod to her love of cardinals and the legacy she left behind.

Every quilt I finish feels, in some small way, like continuing the tradition she started: creating something with care, sharing what I’ve learned, and helping turn someone’s hard work into something they’ll be proud to keep or give.

I look forward to being a small part of your quilt’s story — giving it the time, care, and attention it deserves, and helping carry forward the love and tradition that make handmade quilts so special.
